Costain-Skanska were having problems with a generator making too much noise on a Crossrail project in a residential area near Bow Road.
After trialling several noise reduction products and not seeing the desired results, works manager Rob Smith decided to take out a free trial of the Echo Barrier H2 noise reduction barriers. The results were so successful the company has now made a bulk purchase of Echo Barriers to use on other similar projects. Rob said of the barriers: “We applied the echo barrier product and saw significant noise reduction within this area. As well as the works team. our Environmental manager was also impressed with the noise reduction and so hence the purchase.”
Sales manager Fraser Hadlow added: “We know our barriers are the best out there and so we’re always happy to arrange free trials for potential customers.
Costain-Skanska are one of the big players and the Crossrail project is one of the most prestigious so we’re very happy with the outcome of the trial.
