The market leading noise reduction barrier has been shortlisted in the ‘innovation in safety’ category at the Infrarail awards, which form part of the rail industry’s biggest exhibition, taking place between 19-21 May at Earls Court in London.

Their award entry centred around the work they have recently undertaken with the likes of Balfour Beatty and the Track Partnership on the London Underground, and the huge strides they have taken in making noise reduction an intrinsic part of construction site management.

Technical Director Peter Wilson who is heading up the team representing the company at the exhibition said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been recognised at a national level for the work we have undertaken in the rail industry. To have made the final three in such a competitive category is just reward for our hard working team who have taken what is a relatively new product in the market, and made it a vital part of site management planning. “The competition is tough but to have made even the final three is fantastic news and we’re very much looking forward to both the exhibition and the awards evening itself.”

Infrarail is the UK’s leading railway infrastructure event and this year is being held in conjunction with the Civil Infrastructure and Technology Exhibition (CITE), doubling the size and the prestige of the event. Echo barrier systems make noise management simple, fast and highly effective.

Barriers are flexible, provide exceptional acoustic performance and are easy to store, transport and fit. They not only offer a reduction in noise from loud work sites, but they can reduce the amount of dust and debris escaping on to the street, and offer a high level of health protection for employees in terms of reducing exposure to a level of noise which can damage the ear.

Barriers can also be designed to include the logo and branding of the company using them. For more information about echo barrier visit www.echobarrier.co.uk
