Following a presentation given by technical director Peter Wilson at the TfL HQ earlier in the year, the CDM co-ordinator David Brede recommended the use of the barriers on the project in Blackfriars, which involved modifications to the footway and carriageway and the installation of bollards and other urban realm works on the HQ building.
The barriers were a hit, keeping the peace throughout the noisy job, and David was so impressed, he is advising that they are used on more TfL projects across the capital next year.
David said of the barriers: “They are easy to transport and install, and made the site look tidy and professional. They kept the noise down which is important when a site is situated in the centre of a busy residential and commercial area. I have no hesitation in recommending them for further use on noisy works projects across London and will ensure that I use them on projects where noise is a key concern.”
Peter Wilson added: “Having the barriers in use and doing such a good job on a very high profile building project is fantastic for us and we’re delighted that David has shown such confidence in the product that he’s happy to recommend them further.”
